I am on the 9 yard line with the purchase of a 38 cigarette top gun twin step, my current boat is a 382 formula fastech and I have an eagle triple axle trailer for it with a drive guard. Does anyone know if the gun will fit on / be safe on this trailer? Would be towing a long way when picking up.
Thanks in advance for your advise.

Call Eagle, they should be able to tell you what the differences are for the bottoms (ie: strake locations etc.)

Don't think it will work. The 382 includes the swim platform, where the 38TSTG does not. It's actually about 2' longer than your Formula. Not to mention the questions about hull design, but scraps of 2x4 and carpet should allow you to modify a trailer long enough to work with the steps if need be.
