Isotta Carlotta wheel
#3
I have been through two of them on a 2011 Donzi ZFO! 1st one Donzi covered under warrantee after less than one year. The second one lasted about another year and went to heck. The aluminum spokes corroded, where it was supposed to be stainless was actually just chrome plate which pealed and the center cap rusted on both of them. This time I installed a Momo and it has held up perfectly. The boat is in salt water in the winter, and fresh in the summer. Always cleaned and detailed after each use. I remember a salesman telling me that the later model Carlotta's were not as good of quality as the earlier ones. IMO save your money for other things. I have the old wheel still and would be happy to take a picture to show you.

I have had the same problem as above post. I put one on about 2 years ago have less then 50 hours on the boat and all the chrome is pealing off and pitting. I called Dollar Offshore where I got it after about a year and they said nothing they can do about it. Awsome looking wheel but not worth the 500 dollars I paid for it.

I have one. 8+ yrs old. Not the style shown. Mine was more $. No chrome.
It's still like new.
However, I typically mostly boat after 3pm and the boat goes right back on the trailer with a cockpit cover and then full mooring cover - both covers are waterproof. Sun is an enemy of all interiors (obviously water too) and mine doesn't see all that much of either. Compared to most boats anyway.

The Isotta Aria used to be steel with a chrome coating, they had some problems with the steel/chrome pitting. The Aria is now polished stainless steel.
