Default 180 Dart Iron Eagle heads

So, I just met the owner of Hot to Go. He has a set of 180 Dart Iron Eagles laying around. He said I can buy them for a good price with springs, retainers, studs and guide plates. I'd just have to get valves.

My question is, would these be a good upgrade to stock 5.7 260 heads? I'd also be adding an Eddy RPM intake with Captains call.

Also, what cam would be good for this combo, with stock manifolds?

Thanks

Are they 64cc straight plug heads ? If not, pass.

No. They are 72cc angle plug heads.

If these don't work, I plan on upgrading to Vortec heads.

Any other thoughts?

Maybe I'd be better doing a Vortec upgrade?

Yes, compression is your friend.

Can't answer if angle plugs interfere with exhaust manifolds, but I would assume they do.

Only reason for angle plug heads is having piston domes that are so big, they are required.
