Default Considering a 96 272 Advise please!

So. I would not have considered this boat but.

The price is 25k

160hrs computer verified 500 Merch racing engine fuel injected, I believe it has CMI headers.
Imco SC drive with shower and dual hydraulic steering.
New Gauges GPS Speedo
And another 10K in stereo

The interior is in OK condition, could use some love. but nothing that cant be fixed, or redone.

Im looking at it as im buying the motor and drive, and getting the boat for free.

I took it out yesterday. It needs propped but still will hit 70. I'm just about to pull the trigger but still am unsure.

The last time I took my sweet ass time I missed out on a hell of a deal.. so trying not to miss out on this one.

Always hard to answer questions like this without laying eyes on the price.

It sounds like a nice set up with all the stuff people end up putting on it anyways, but the work is done for you.

Just curious - what prop does it have now?

Those 272's move really good with power
It does sound well appointed for speed and sound
If your really game offer up 20% and an offer to purchase contract subject to a marine survey to close the deal
Now it's off the market and if there are issues you have an easy out or bargaining card
Don't get caught with your britches down when making a purchase like this

See ya

Check the stringers. What's the trailer like? Sounds like a decent deal for a 70+ 272.

Well I picked it up. Not going to lie I really like it. Right now with a 24P prop its at 71-72MPH at 5500 RPM Going to stick a 26P and 28P and see what works the best. Shooting for about 74-75. at around 5K.

The guy I got it from never listed it. Just heard from a buddy he was considering selling it. Had the HRs verified on the engine, and couldn't resist that engine and drive combo. It needs a little TLC on the interior but so far nothing that cant be cleaned or fixed with a little elbow grease.

You might be better off working the 24 to get the RPM down a few hundred. Call Brett at BBlades

Post pics of the boat, don't see too many 272 with blue power. Is your speed off the speedometer or hand held gps?
