Hey guys, new boat owner and new forum member here.
I just got a donzi that the engine was seized in and was sold. So the boat doesn't have the engine or outdrive.
There really isn't many places to meet or talk to people about donzi's but hopefully I can find some people here that can help me out
Should I stick with putting another 7.4l 454 engine back in ? whats your guys thoughts and concerns?

I can't be of much help because I'm new to boating myself, but once you figure out exactly what you're looking for then "powerboat swap shop" on facebook gets a lot of ad's posted daily for parts. And Searchtempest.com allows you to search all the surrounding craigslists to you, now is the time of year that people will be selling stuff at reasonable prices. Good luck!

I had a 1999 22zx with a 7.4 mpi 310HP only ran 63, I would find a 454 mag or 502 mag or even a used 496 and have something that can run high 60's or low 70's. Be careful though as these boats can catch the bow and spin out in turns if you don't know what you are doing. There is also a Donzi forum not sure if it is still active or not.

This 22ZX ran 81mph with a HP500 and labbed prop:
