PS what kind of HP gain can you get from dry pipes vs wet on a 500EFI?

Randy, The legal HP is still 500. The dyno has pretty much gone by the wayside. However I have noticed increased inspections as far as compression cubic inch, fuel etc. You do not need factory seals, but it does still have to be the factory 500 configuration. weight is not a concern. Ed

Hey Marty, looks like we are going to do the poker run, and we'll be at the park the rest of the day.

I thought the new factory class engines could be ANY size any exhaust, as long as they made 470 or less hp on the dyno. Without the dyno, what are the rules????

I thought a 540 ci motor with huge torque was OK as long as it didn't make more than 470HP at WOT.

I guess this is a question you need to ask JC. If you have the factory sealed HP 500 then any exhaust should be fine.

From the speeds I see on SBI v APBA, I would say the "LEGAL" HP for SBI must be about 600HP, their speeds to be 5 mph faster than the APBA F-1 & F-2 boats go. What do you think?

With my own eyes I saw a 100 Mph fountain turn 485 Hp on the dyno. Right after mine was on the dyno, and read my motor acurately. The advantage in SBI in my opinion is no weight restriction, staggard drives, special hull wax
