90s Straight Bottom with extension boxes???

back in the day glen martin of martin marine told me that if you need an extension box on a tg then something is wrong with it. i personally think there are a lot of factors that come into play with your question. i could see boxes helping on lower hp boats to get rid of the "hop" and i could also see them helping on high x speedmaster boats. generally speaking, boxes are a good thing on a boat. i personally think they are an asset but not always needed. example, my outerlimits has them and they are adjustable which is nice if you are seeking top mph or would like to lower it to save your drives. you could set the boat up from the factory with the correct height and run just as good. the box will save you from cutting your transom if you want to change height.
