I soon will be putting the boat up for the winter. I have a built 600HP 509 that I will be putting in over the winter once I acquire a few more pieces. I currently have a 97 model GEN VI 454 330/310 HP carbed motor that has been in my 97 Baja 252 Boss since day 1. Pushes 4600 lb 252 58-60 GPS anyday of the week with Bravo 1 1.50 drive with 21p Mirage plus. It currently has 34X hours on it and is totally stock. Runs excellent and super reliable (something I am afraid I might be loosing soon lol). Its GEN VI so its the best base model 454 with 4 bolt mains and roller cam with L29 heads. If I sell it,it will be complete Carb to pan. I am keeping accesories,bell and coupler. It also will include the factory manifolds and risers. I could provide a video of it running or if local could give you a ride. If it will bring $2800.00 I'd sell it as I think that would be a fair price. If not I will keep it as a spare. Keep as a spare just in case. If back up is not needed, then when time to 'off' the boat, you have a nice factory motor to put back in (for more $$$ usually) and a better motor you can keep.

So...the plus is a plus and the minus is a plus...to keeping it. My IMHO.

Would probably be the smart thing to do but I never claimed to be the brightest haha. I still need to buy some good exhaust and other little odds and ends and the wife is getting irritated every time it spend another grand on this project to go faster
