Heading to Ft. Lauderdale at the end of the month. I dont think theres too much in high performance boats but should be fun to see all that fiberglass. Any tips or advice? How are the local restaurants when the show is in town, a lot busier than normal or just like usual? Is the whole city a lot busier than normal? Thanks!!

My 3rd year in a row. Been hooked from the first show. There are some GOFAST boats there. Although, I believe cigarette is NOT going to be there yet again this year. They are having open house at their facility. As far as busy... Yes it's busy but I personal think it's very easy to get around with so many people. Unlike the Miami show. Went to Miami once for boat show and will never go back there. The boat show as an app that you can download for free that will tell u a lot of things. The convention center is the best for parking. Easiest to get in and out and probably the cheapest. You can then pickup water taxi and a pass for day or weekend. I highly recommend this because you can see so many things in water tax and they will drop you off at all the locations. So many things to see. Would take you at least 2 full days to see everything. There are about 7-9 locations with different boats and vendors throughout the intercostal.
Love the show, people, and atmosphere. Hope this helps.

Show is big, lots to see in the yacht/fishing lines but they even have a 20-30 car collection of new Ferraris/Astons/Rolls/Bentleys. Most of the yachts are used consignment/brokerage boats so they are more apt to let you tour the boats if you want to. There have been demo rides in the past over by the south end of the show but its not like Miami with dozens of demo boats sitting at the docks. Last year Nortech, Formula, Sunsation were all on the "performance dock".......in years passed it would be 30-40 boats out there from MTI to Outerlimits, Cig/Fountain/Nortech/Formula all had big displays.
Viking is bringing their new 92 ft Sportfish!

Boat carries 4000 gallons of fuel (yep 20K to fill that and it wouldn't last a 3 day weekend burning 250+ gallons an hour at full tilt). The 82 was huge and insane when it arrived so a 92 is going to be nuts. The power this boat needs dockside has been known to blow main breakers at smaller marinas in the Bahamas.......as in you plug in and all the docks go dark......oops.
