what do you file youre ring gap to on a 4.6 bore? top .022 sec-.020???
and clearance the bearings at?

I don't know about the ring clearance, I am thinking about a set of 598s would you mind sharing your build sheet.

nothing built yet just collecting parts. new dart big m 4.601 bore, je flat top, callies 4.5 crank, compstar 6.7 rods, brodix bb3 cnc extra heads

have a brand new bob manderra cam for a 598 he cut for me . never ended up running it . if interested

every ring set is different , they have specs on honing and ring gap that you can go with . normally you would buy the ring set for a 4.600 bore at 4.605 , then file fit per each cyl , the bearings are another story , you will need to start with a std set of H bearings ,torque them up in the block as if the crank was in the block , then measure the crank mains, set your dial bore gauge off of that mike , then read each main, that will give you the oil clearance , .002.5 + or - .000.3. , if you come up with different clearance # , you will need to start mismatching bearings (like 1/2 set of 001under size bearings or ? ) then you do the same with the rods . good luck with the build ,

Hydrolic roller I got the cam card n specs when bob cut it for me ,I dig it out n see ? I'm guessing but believe it's 248 / 252 632 lift on 112 ? That's a 4 year old guess though :-)
