Default 2005 Formula 400ss - Reg Maintinance

Hello All

I just bought a 2005 Formula 400ss with 496 HO and about 150 hours

I did not receive any service information from previous owners so i was wondering (besides oil change) if there is any preventaive maintenance i should perform on the boat in general at 150 hours?

Gear lube change. Water impeller change. Clean and or replace the water separator screens. And it probably has the original antifreeze in those motors so it is ready to be changed out. If you have water separator filters vs the screens down by the impeller housing, then change the filters.

Then you can start to winterize it for the quickly approaching winter.

Dont know if you have outdrives or inboards. Outdrives have the boots checked, inboards the stuffing boxes. Everything we have mentioned is really part of a thorough winterizing.

Replace your fuel filters. There is a paper cartridge filter and a "wafer" type filter in the fuel pump/cooler assembly. I let mine go and lost 4-5 mph. If you run in salt water, I would also recommend removing the stainless steel exhaust elbows and check them for pinhole leaks inside maybe at 200 or 250 hours. If there is any signs of water in the exhaust passages of your manifolds, replace them.

In each engine's fuel module there is a paper cartridge filter part no. 35-866171A01 and another filter part no. 35-892665. I always replace both.
