I live on the beautiful island Aruba and we are working on a 55 foot power catamaran (I will post a threat about the rebuilding later). This boat was on the dock for almost 10 years and it has Twin Disk transmissions MG 5061-A (3 in total need to be checked/overhauled). I am looking for an experienced mechanic who is willing to do the job over here. The boat came with all the special tools and press for the gears. Aruba is not that far away from Miami, about 2.5 hour flight.

I'm open for any kind of deal and will take care of the hotel, car, flights, etc.

If you are capable of doing the job and interested, please let me know.

The reason I try this way is because I cannot ship the transmissions by boat to the US, only option is by plane.

Damn that's a interesting deal . I would spring a few extra bucks to fly a guy down from the upper east coast.and wait another month or so .maybe let him take his wife too , gets real cold and gloomy north of virginia in November . Especially compared. To miami

Exactly thats what I was thinking, take the wife, maybe the kids. Put them on the beach or in the SPA during the day. Fix up the gears a couple of days and have a wonderfull free holiday. Everybody happy!
