Default Gen 6 Heads on a Mk 4 Block

Can you guys help me out here. I am reading several different things on here, much of which is 10 years old!

It seems I can use Gen 6 heads on a Mk 4 block if I use the correct head gasket (on a 502). Is that correct, and if so can someone point me in the right direction as to which HG I should use

That being said, I just finished reading an article about converting from Series Flow to Parallel Flow by drilling the block using the Gen 6 head gasket as a template for the extra 3 holes. If I do that can I then use Gen 6 heads and Gen 6 head gasket as is?

EDIT - also - my gaskets that were leaking were "Performance Marine". What is the take on that brand? From the conversation on here it looks like Cometic or FelPro at the minimum....
