Default 44 MTI full pleasure cockpit in classifieds

I am looking for any background on this boat. I have been keeping an eye on the 39-44 MTI's, but all of the 6 seat R/P boats are still too pricey. I understand that this boat is heavier/slower than its siblings but to what extent? Is this hull design one that will be safe and comfortable on Saturday afternoon at LOTO? Will it be unruly at any certain speed? Any information, opinion, thought is welcome. Would also like the scoop on its history if anyone has it...thanks in advance for your response.

great boat, I sold it to Scott a few years ago. It has fresh power . I used it for the Miami to Key West poker run . We had 8 people , full of fuel, full of luggage, and ran 100 all the way there

Thanks, can you provide any more insight? I have had many performance boats but never a cat. Anything I need to be concerned about with this one (other than insurance). Is it squirrelly at any certain speed? At what speed does It settle down if so? Has this boat ever been damaged?

Thanks

Dirty duck (42 mti) is also for sale. Both have fresh motors and drives, 1030 hp in the duck and merc 900sc in the 44. They are close in price, any opinions on one of these boats vs. the other? Are they the same hull with a bigger bustle on the 44. Thanks

Been on the Dirty Duck several several times, once with a full crew of about 10 at 120 mph (don't worry safety police, we were wearing vests, kill switch tethers, helmets and landing gear, lol), and just a couple weeks ago with a family, including a 3 year old at 50 mph! The boat does everything it's supposed and does it well, 1000+ hp motors that idle better than my old big stock big block did. Plus the boat is cool as hell with all the stereo equipment, misc. amenity's, and details I think it even has a blender, lol! Definitely check it out before make a decision, its a wild boat!

Scott looked at DD before he bought mine, but make your own decision. And no, never damaged

Ive been on the Dirty Duck several times with the current owner. He has put plenty of money into making it very mechanically sound/reliable. It rides and runs great! Here is the post from the first time I was on it a couple years ago. You can read all the good comments about it there.
