Default tuned sponson technology?

Has anyone heard of this? I have been preparing for operating my first fast cat. I have operated V boats above the century mark for years, many times in sanctioned race conditions. Yet, I have never operated a cat. I want to be responsible, especially since I plan on taking family and friends on my new-to-me Skater. Knowing there are significant differences between Vs and Cats and the hydrodynamics associated with each at high speeds, I want to prepare properly and get plenty of seat time. I came across an article stating that Statement has tuned sponson technology in its Cats and this purportedly prevents blow overs. Anyone heard of this?

Sounds like another marketing ploy, to learn the in's and outs of operating a cat I'd give Tres Martin a call and sign up for one of his courses. It's money well spent and will definitely help you in running you're new cat safely. Just mt $.02... Jim
