A couple of questions about what I see at Key West
How do the boats avoid ingesting water when they are in a rooster tail?
When towing large cats on their side does it not have an effect on the fluids in the motor and the fuel?
The smaller boats like Snowy Mountain and SB VEE P3 and P4 have large rooster tails, what kind of drives would they be running?
Lastly with the big cats how does a 1350 CMS boat out run a 1650 Geico?
I would think an extra 600 HP would be a huge advantage?

1. Most race boats have some sort of a baffle in there scoop to deflect the water. Even with that you cant keep the water out and it just plain bad for the motor. That's why one of the biggest arguments in the pits is who cut who off and washed them down. It can end your day. Its always better to be in front of your competition LOL .
2. They have oil shut off valves. Most run dry sump systems that store the oil in a external tank.
3. The SVL,P4 boats run Bravo style drives. The rooster is high because the X dim. is higher then most rec. boats.
4. Geico and CMS both run higher HP then stated. IMO

He would have to travel his butt all the way down from Canada! I vote he moves to the warmer states! Good answers Typhoon. Man that would be a dream to run with some of you guys. Just wish I had a boat worthy enough besides an old magnum hull!
