Default Will this cam revert water with stock exhaust manifolds?

A buddy of mine is waiting for his CMI exhaust and wants to go boating this weekend. He just did a cam change and I am wondering if it will cause him reversion problems. The cam is in a 454 and is a hydraulic flat tappet. Specs are 228/235 @ .050" on a 112+4 installation. The lift is .540". Anyone know how far the stock exhaust manifolds can be pushed regarding this? Thanks, Craig.

I guess he will have to be a pioneer on this one. We will post the results after we run it for a while.

It will be close. Im running nearly the same cam but at 114 with silent choice. Keep the idle above 800 and it should be Ok.

It's real close. It comes out to 7.5* of overlap @ .050.
Just give it a couple of revs before you shut it down.

Thanks for the replys. That is kinda what I thought. We will bump the idle up a bit and give it a rev and shut it down at 1100 or 1200 rpm. He only will need to use it this way for this weekend, then the CMI's will be in and there will be no prob.
