I am thinking about bringing the 36 up next weekend for the Poker Run.
Have never been to the lake before and was wondering if any of you guys are going?
How are the water levels and ramps, where is the best place to put in at and leave the truck & trailer?
Are there any good places on the lake to stay?
Any information is appreciated. Hope to make it up there and meet some of you guys.

Mark,
I used to go all the time, but since I'm wothout right now..., anyway I would stay at Conley Bottom. They have a campground right on waters edge. They also have a shower house at the dock they just built. The town of somerset is nice and alot of hotels. Lee's Ford dock is very nice with cabins but the ramp is almost too steep to walk up and with the 36 I would pass of putting in there. State dock, Jamestown are at the west end of the lake and would be a longer drive for you coming from N.C. I'll have to talk to my friend to see if he got his boat back together. If not he has a covered slip at Conley Bottom that he might let you use. If you need some directions or shortcuts let me know. Also if you drink beer take it because you can't get it there, IT"S A DRY COUNTY. If you need more info let me know.

Mike,
Thanks for the Info. With this weekend being a wash out, I had a wild hair to go up for the poker run. A friend that went up last year tells me it took him 12 hours up the mountains and two lane roads. That is about twice as long as I was expecting. Don't guess I will make it this time.
Thanks again.
