And another problem could be - possible water reversion while trying to get it out running in reverse like that. Also nothing broke beforehand from the freeze. IMO he will have more problems than just currently. If he has trim tabs they will be broken or bent up as well. if the prop really hits that solid ice then what ?

He needs my duck boat.......... to break a hole for him. I have gone through a ton of ice with it but NEVER with a fiberglass boat. You can't fix stupid.
