I'm new to this forum and have a 2004 fountain lightning with twin merc 525's. I currently am running xr drives and was wondering if going to an Imco sc lower is a waist of money or a good choice. Also was wondering if I did this I was thinking of going with a -1x dimension. Has anyone done this and how did the boat handle. I was told it would gain 5-7mph but would be much lighter on its feet. Thanks again for your input

A buddy of mine has a 38, 2007 or 2008, I think. It has SM lowers with 600's. Tops out just a hair over 100mph. Has 5 blade 32* Bravo's on it.

I'm not sure if his SM's are -1 or -2.
