Default I Find This Strange

Hawkeye Marine has a new 2003 Baja 29 Outlaw pictured on their website.

I thought 2002 was the last year for the 29 and they would be offering the new 30 for model year 2003.

Does anyone know what is going on?

Looks to me like the 30 may be delayed. If I were a dealer I would not order a 29 if the 30's were soon to be out.

Oh well, seems nothing happens quick in this business.

I talked to my dealer the other day and he was saying that Baja may still make the 29 Outlaw for the full 2003 model year even if the 30 Outlaw is introduced. He was informed by his rep that Baja is doing everything they can to have a 30 at the Miami boat show in Feb. but still didn't know if they would get it done. Maybe Baja will introduce the 30 Outlaw next spring and call it a 2004 model and still make the 29 for the last few months.

Thanks guys, that is very interesting.

Detroit can get a car from drawing board to highway quicker than that. From what little I have heard, I would have expected them to be much futher ahead on the project.

The reason I want to see it is to see how much like the 33, 36 & 40 it looks.

If it is close, I would assume that the others will remain the same for a while. If there is a big difference than we will know what to expect from future Outlaws.

Like they say, don't worry about things you have no control over.
