Love watching the on board video and that of the engine as it was purring like a kitten. When I first seen the Amsoil video from Key West, Big Water from start to finish, it was fantastic and their Detroit International Powerboat Championship video from the Motor City just made my day. Miss Geico Team U.S.A. keep them coming and thanks for posting. Offshore Powerboat Racing needs more on board video, it is exciting and fantastic to watch what goes on in the cock pit and to hear the music of the engines..

Thanks guys. Trying to keep it fun and give some insight into how intense it is. we took home over 300Gb of raw footage from the week. quite a chore to sift through.
It's funny because it just doesn't look nearly as fast ,rough or difficult as it is/does sitting in the cockpit. if you watch closely in the background you can pick up whats happening and how fast its happening. All of these boats have quite a bit of power and with these racers... you know no one is lifting the throttles to slow down.

The onboard video is fantastic. Really gives you the sense of being there. For those of you that have never done it, I can tell you that's pretty close to being there without actually having to get all of the bruises.
I hate to be critical of the non-onboard video, but there is definitely something missing when it isn't from a chopper. You know what's missing? Phil Lewis and Rich Luhrs!!!!!!!
Great job guys! Congrats on the championships. I can attest that it's tough enough to win one, but back-to-back is awesome.
