This is a 1998 Mercury Racing HP 500 carb race engine. This engine was factory sealed when I got it, and has been completely rebuilt since. This motor was built back to factory specs. Block, crank, rods, and pistons, where all checked, tested, and cleaned at More Power in Sparta. They also prepped the block with a fresh hone, cleaning, cam bearings, freeze plugs, and all oil passage plugs. The heads where rebuilt by Valeko race heads in Spring lake, and Jim ported them as well. Engine has new, Melling high volume oil pump, bearings, rings, timing set, crane lifters, ARP head bolts, distributor rotor and cap, plugs and wires, gaskets and seals. I have all receipts for parts, and labor done. Motor will come exactly as seen, flywheel is also included but does not fit on engine when bolted to the stand.
