Anyway to trace or track boat ownership?

I was wondering if anyone knew of any way to trace a boats history of ownership through registration or serial numers

Is there any website that would have this info?

Here if the boat was originally from the state you can trace through the DNR, as far back as the history goes. Documented boats can be traced through the feds website, by name or number.
