Default what have you learned on oso in the past year

it,s almost the end of the year so i thought i would start a thread asking what you have learned on oso this year.i,l start out with a few things i learned.1-origional merc parts are better than aftermarket and worth the xtra 50% they cost.2- if you buy a used boat and the seller tells you the engines were rebuilt 30 hours ago you can sue him for new engines if he lied.3- the tooth farry will be here by morning.

1. 2 years ago a Marine engine builder started using 15 year old engine building techniques that were developed mainly by a bunch of hillbillies sitting around drinking beer. 2. If you build Marine engines and you imply 15 year old techniques you are 30 years ahead of your peers. 3. If you build marine engines using 15 year old engine building techniques you are praised by the offshore boating community and looked at like you are a God.

Randy can rebuild your engines with used parts, your ser.#'s change and still charge you 60K with a warranty.

Lubrication is something that you should only discuss with your wife or gf.
