Ok dumb question of the day, do I need to go to the outside of the manifold so that the water travels thru the whole manifold before exiting to the riser or is the closests port fine?

To x and elbow it in the top front. Plug the bottom front and the rear top

put the manifold on the other side and things will line up better,,water line wise that is.
