Was looking for a spare XR and found a nice one with a complete ITS so bought. Now trying to decide if it will add anything to a 2004 with a 19.5 X dimension. Anybody out there run one?

More info......
Standard factory boat with external steering and kplanes. Runs mid 70's with bravo 28p RH prop at about 5200-5300 rpm. Looking for better planing and midrange if I were to make this change.
Thanks

I have ~150 hours. Engine is untouched. From the rpms you're turning with the 28" wheel, your engine seems healthy. To get the top speed, I run the drive at 4.5 and the tabs all the way up. Keeps it interesting that way.

Last question.......are you running a RH or LH prop?
I am at 190 hrs with no issues. Typically run the drive at 5 and tabs at 2 but don't spend enough time at WOT to be able to say that is the fastest setup.
