Default Mystic Cat and Center Console Update: Pre-Miami Final Look

One last look at Mystic Powerboats' latest projects before the builder goes silent to build suspense for their Miami Boat Show debuts next month, http://speedonthewater.com/new-boats...ami-final-look.

There are two slide shows, one of the C4400 catamaran and one of the M3900 center console, in this update.

Happy New Year to all—and many thanks to Mystic's John Cosker and Pier 57's Scott Sjogren for giving us such great access to these projects. This is update No. 20 and we're pretty sure that two new builds have never been followed online so closely in a series of articles. Look for comprehensive feature on both boats in the January/February issue of Speed On The Water digital magazine.

Based on that speed with 700s, there's no telling how the 1100-powered cats will run."............ummm safe to say they will be FAAASSSST!

Great project and journalism......hope to see big things from Mystic/ Pier 57 in 2015 and maybe some of the other builders will get back to the drawing board and make the boats faster with less speakers/strobe lights/themes etc.....

Thanks, Jupiter, for the kind words. When work is this fun, it doesn't seem like work. I won't reveal all our plans for "debut day" in Miami, but slideshows of each boat—from concept renderings to finished products—are among them. Happy New Year!

can't wait to see both in person, for the M3900 did they say why they designed it with a once piece cockpit and gunwale cap? Seems like you lose a lot of space compare to a 3 piece boat.

My guess is the Mystic display is going to be a fairly crowded area of the 2015 Miami Boat Show

So the conversation goes like this:

Hello Mr Shogren? This is "Mike Hunt" and I'm considering one of your new boats.
P57: Great, are you in the market?
Caller: Um well yeah, just checking all the other brands (NT, Cig, OL,) and figured I would look at your stuff.
P57: Well you do realize that this is an expensive item
Caller: Yeah, I'm a high risk short term investor so I got that covered twice over, I just bought Powerball and MegaMillions tickets!

Well, my friend, from what I understand there are something like seven or eight buyers between the two models that answer to that description.

For the record, I am far from one of them.
