Hi Guys.
I hope you can help me.
I have much to much slip in my props. Last season i ran with 26 inch Mirage, but i couldn't get any speed out of it. 61 mph with 5000 rpm. This season i then tried a Revolution 4 25 inch, but with almost the same result 62 mph with 5000 rpm.
it feels like it sucks air down to the prop and just makes white foam behind the boat..
Have anyone of you had the same problem as i?
What do you guys think the problem is?
The , drive is in mint condition it is a Bravo X 1,5 with a imco nosecone.

I know this answer won't help much, but I kind of have the same issue. I have a 29 scarab with a stock 502 at the moment, engine is out and getting attended too. I am running a 22p four blade at 5100rpm and can only get 62mph, tried a 25p 3blade and the boat hated it, lost rpm and massive blowout on turns. A friend has the same boat with a 25p 3blade and he can run 65-67mph, just not sure if it is the hull design on these boats but seems you need big power to get over 70mph. just wanted to throw my 2 cents at it, I am by no means an expert. good luck and happy boating.

The problem is that is a big boat for a single engine. The same boat with twin SB would perform much better. So with a single engine you need a lot of HP and a big prop to get the slip #'s down and the speed up.
I have the same problem with my 26 - I have hit a wall and without adding more HP no amount of set up or prop change is going to get me any faster. I am doing both this winter.

500hp will not equal 70+ mph. I have a P29 with new crate merc 383 at 350hp each and I run high 70's (GPS). I by no means have a clue on what Im doing. Im sure an experienced pilot can do better.
Being a production hull, if your setup is the exact same as your friends I would look for a hook in the hull.
Good luck with working out the gremlins.

Yes the boat is factory made with a HP 500. Engine is where it always have been. Standard X-dimensions.
