Has anyone used a shortblock from CnC motorsports in there boat?

every block is cnc machined...why? you buy a new block, new crank, new pistons...what are you machining?

They probably buy the blocks unfinished and start from there. Dart will sell them to you either way.

I've not bought a block, but bought plenty of other stuff from these guy's, top knotch outfit, they deal in a lot of drag race, circle track stuff, so make sure its clearenced for marine application. talk to Morgan or Chris


I just read the specs on that short block, the Dart block & Diamond pistons are good stuff, but if your going to spend that kind of money, spend a little more for a Callies crank and rods, JMO

True. All depends on how and when tooling is serviced. Was yours the 1st block through after serviced/calibrated, or was the 500th? Bet you the tolerances/trueness are not the same.

I bought a brand new CNC GMPP Gen6 Bowtie block......Still needed finish hone to size, surfaces trued up, line bore trued up. Perfect after that.

Does CNC offer any warranties on the short or long blocks?
