The Duces R Wild

Are you looking for specific info? I am assuming you acquired the boat directly from the Bonaduces?

The boat was owned and campaigned (mid 80s into mid 90s, I dont remember the exact time frame) quite successfully by the Bonaduce family from Someville NJ area and partnered with Bill Jr from Prices Autowreckers in the Bridgewater/Manville area somehow. They were 90 & 91 A Class Champs as I recall, and set a class World Record of 91 mph in 1993. My father being involved with that boat was part of what fueled my desire to start racing. Al Bonaduce came to the pits before the start of my 1 st race in 2000 to offer some advice and wish my brother and I good luck.
There is still a picture of the boat hanging on the wall in my Fathers, now Brothers shop.
While I have lost touch with anyone from the family, a few years ago, I saw Jesse Bonaduce in Forked River in their 30 Scarab Panther, also named Duces R Wild. That boat was for sale at the time also.
If you do a search on here for the name, you will find a fair amount of the info you may be looking for.

Prior to Drew owning it, I found it listed on Oklahoma's craigslist. I told Drew about it and suspected it was the Duces boat. The guy who owned it did'nt know anything about the boat. I asked him if it was the "Duces" boat, and he didn't know, he didn't even know if it was a raceboat. He was really clueless. I drove to Oklahoma and picked the boat up for Drew. I brought an old race program with me, and confirmed it was the Duces race boat. Several things confirmed this-the engine hatch, the lifting cleats etc. Drew sold it to your dad a few years later.
Matt-I've got an old race program if you want to scan the picture.

Before it went to Ok it sat out front of ProRoc for quite awhile in 98 or 99. It was rode hard at that point and needed quite a bit of work. I seem to recall the Delta pad, which I think was added after the fact, or possibly modified, was delaminating or something along those lines. It has been a long time. My father spoke to Al B about me possibly buying it and putting it back into racing, which I would love to have done, but it was going to be a bigger financial commitment than I could make so I ended racing a 24 Pantera

Idk if my last post posted its not showing up just yet so my apologies if I double post but that's my family's old race boat. I'm Al Bonaduces son. What's going on with our old girl?! Would love to see pictures or maybe even take a trip and see what she looks like these days. Lots of memories for my family revolve around that boat. Please get back I know I'm a full year late!
