Ft. Pierce to Ft. Myers Fl. boat trip?
Has anybody made this trip lately? Using the St Lucie canal, thru Lake Okochoubee(Sp?) over to Ft Myers. What are the locks, idle zones, water hazards like? Any info. would be greatly appreicated!

Oh ya, one of the most important things to know beforehand is to monitor very closely the operation of the locks!!!!!
They may, and often do, close them down for weeks or months at a time with no warning if the water levels need adjusting.
