Default Silent choice or not?

Doing a mild rebuild on my 25ft Tantrum, the cam was done by Marinekinetics, and will work with my Corsa kwik and quite but will have to keep the idle up which is sometimes hard to do in no wake and docking. My question is do I take the y pipe out and run without or leave the y pipe and plug the ends in case I ever decide to upgrade. Will removing the Y pipe and Corsa decrease the value when I go to sell?

Don't know what to tell you. My Tantrum was built with Gil pipes right out the back. Do they have noise ordinances where you boat? A pair of clamp on's will quiet it up enough.

That is about the same drop I have on the exhaust, I do have any noise ordinances. It really cleans things up with the y pipe gone doesn't it. Do you have an aggressive cam ?

I'd get rid of it and remove the Y pipe. Get some switchable mufflers if needed.

If you had a dollar for every Y pipe that's for sale in the US,........ well lets just say, you'd be a rich guy

Take the Y-pipe out. Another OSO member was running his Whippled 525 on a PR and had one of his Y-pipes covers blow off. It filled the bilge with salt water.

You don't want that problem.
