Hey guys there offering me a Mercruiser 383.. 0Hrs dirt cheap..fuel injected which is the main reason i would wanna swap.... I wanted to know if it was possible to mate this with my Volvo duo prop....im currently running the Volvo penta 350 small block with the duo.. i figured i could swap out the bell housing and flywheel off my current setup, add the sea pump and be good to go? anyone see why not? both basically Chevy at the core? Transom cutout for my Volvo is the same as the mercruiser, i could always go that route and swap everything out but i figured ill try to save my expensive Volvo drive..

No problem at all but possible prop change to maintain recommended rpm range. If your Volvo engine was the 5.7 GXi - 315 hp then most likely not even a prop change. Simple install as the biggest change was the color going to black now for the engine.
