Default New here, what did I get myself into?

I just acquired a 1988 39' USA catamaran. This one has the twin merlin diesels and arneson drives. Not sure what the plans are for it yet, clean it up and run it or just flip it. Is there much interest in these boats? I know you either love it or hate it, and I must say I like the setup so far.

Not yet, my maiden voyage on her is this weekend. We are doing a short shakedown cruise, as she hasn't been run in a couple months. I'll post some pics over the weekend.

You buy it from a older gentleman named Dave ? it was parked at the Hog fish Grille on Stock Island.

it used to be the old boat that sat to the right when you came into Key West at the Watersports rental place I believe. i think the previous owner had it painted blue.
When i was there he was working on it years ago

I believe this boat has been around key west for quite a while, so it is probably the same one. I will take some pictures this weekend and post them.

Reptyls= Enjoy the boat. Not much interest in those hulls on this site. They take a lot of power to move them.

Yes it takes power, but when everyone else is seeking shelter from rough seas the 39 is in its glory!
