Default power boat associations on long island.

I am seeking info about go fast boat clubs and associations on Long Island in NY
I read somewhere about a Long Island offshore powerboat club ?
who are they what do they do ??/
Do they have web site.
I tried to find out more info about clubs and events here on Long Island but am not getting very far for what ever reason.

Who are the people who put together the poker run in May out of Freeport ??

If I do a google search I come up with OPA but don't think they ran the event .

Billy Frenzy runs the NPBA and he puts on 4 local events a year. The Freeport Poker run was set up and run by some local guys and Billy Frenzy helped with administration.

Who are these guys? I searched for them using the web address posted in the thread about that may poker run but fall short of any real info.
Just looking for fun and events to participate in on the east side of Robert Moses bridge or ponts further east .
Freeport to rockaway does not interest me and in May it may not be the best boat weather

Pretty sure there is no website for the guys who put on the "long Island Stampede" last May..... They are here on OSO and I'm sure we will here a date for this years run soon. I heard rumors of it being later this year. I think the issue last year was it was the 1st one they did and that was the only coast guard permit they could get. It was very early but have to say we had great weather and a great day....... I look forward to this years..... And I would re-think not heading west, lots of nice new places to go by water...... good food and great scenery too...

God I hpoe so. Both motors assembled and ready to drop in. But I'm throwing a wrench in the build and decided to go fresh water. So im ordering the kits today. It's amazing how hard we work all winter for a couple weekends of summer.
