Currently looking for a rebuilt GM 4l80e transmission for a 2001 2500hd 4x4. Any good reputable company's that sell heavy duty transmissions? need one built tough for towing and snowplowing- I prefer to purchase one and swap, to avoid waiting on a local shop to rebuild.

I know you mentioned you rather buy a unit and not wait for a shop but TAB Transmissions in Iselin, NJ turnaround time is usually 3 days depending on what parts you are installing. They will be able to build something stout within your budget. Check them out. Sometimes having a location and a face to go to if something is wrong is worth it compared to a mail order exchange.
