Hello everyone, I just bought a 27' cat with a 525 efi and was told by the previous owner that I should run premium (93) fuel.
Now I know that this is not true unless it has had the ecm remapped to run more timing. So my question is, is there any way to tell if my ecm has had a wipple upgrade?

I would call whipple and give them the serial number on the ecm. I would imagine they would keep records of ones that have been flashed.

If Dustin has been in it, it will have his password, call him and give him the serial #,

All you have to do is look at the back side of the ecm. If Dustin tuned it, it will have one of his stickers on it. Also, if he tuned it, it will be set for 91 octane, not 93.
