Default Sell a boat running or part it out

There is a Checkmate 283 Convincor near me that is for sale. The price is seems good. I have plans to update my boat, the boat for sale has most of the parts I would want. So, I could buy the boat to rob the procharged 502, XR drive and IMCO steering off of it for my boat. Lately, I see a lot of boats being parted instead of being sold running. I would have all the parts to resell the newly purchased Checkmate as a running boat with my current engine and drive (525sc and Bravo 1) installed in it. I'm looking for opinions on which is better, sell running or part out. Thanks

i guess it depends on how much time is involved in making the boat a complete running boat vs selling the parts.example-10 grand for parts vs 12 grand for complete running boat that took 60 hours to complete.time is money.
