Want to try the gulf coast around Tampa, St. Pete, Sarasota in June. Any suggestions on where to stay for a week? Waterfront, maybe near a marina so I can get my boat watch on. I'm not rich, but don't want a place where I'll need my concealed carry all the time. What's good? Thanks

Try Anna Maria Island , we are located between St Pete and Sarasota . Really family friendly and beautiful beaches. Bradenton Beach Marina actually has several properties for weekly rental. It's a good idea to make reservations soon to guarantee a room regardless of where you choose. As far as crime , our island has two police cars and there usually parked at the Circle K store Good Luck!!!
