I need to replace my thermostat housings part number 16413A3
Mercury says they are no longer available and are offering something different, the old style assembly !
Has anyone had to deal with this issue ?
Boat has a pair of 502 gen 6 big blocks with gil headers and runs real well .
I have looked at the cp performance crossover kits but have read of problems.
Then the replacement tc housing is different than the original.
Any suggestions ?

You can use the newer style. You just have modify some of the water hose plumbing.
The newer style has an internal bypass and instead sends the water into the 2 outlets instead of 4.

that is the older style, looks much different.

That is the Blue engine/HP500 style. The part # he listed is similar with 4 outlets but not exactly the same.
