I blew a head gasket last fall, pulled both my 502s out, had them redone to 509 used all the stock components except the new Pistons (everything reconditioned, melling high volume oil pump, etc) but basically stock, 9.5 to 1
Aluminum heads, rectangle port
119 cc
320 intake runner
2.25 intake
1.88 exhaust
Intake manifold
World products Marine, single plane, with 850 Holley
STOCK IGNITION
Full wet exhaust (headers) 8" rise
I think I have all the pertinent info here, I am hoping to get 600hp with proper cam and valve train combo
I want to reiterate boxed items only, I have a reason for this
I am looking for cam, roller hydraulic lifters, roller rockers what ratio 1.7?
Looking for input from EVERYBODY, let's not turn this into a only one guys know everything column, I want all opinions

Also good info to know, "are these orig heads? or new ones? comb chamber size? how much dry length in these exhausts?" Flow is the the money maker...

Did a pair of 515's for a friend a couple years ago. Went with 741 cams and crane gold rockers, trend pushrods. Engines were approx. 10 to 1 and everybody was more than happy with the results from that cam. It's still a great cam!

For an off the shelf cam I've always wanted to try the Crane 139681. The 741 is proven over and over again with great results going back to the late 80's. Just curious what your trying to achieve for numbers.
