Default 88 Pachanga 32 fiberglass repairs

I have a lot of wood to replace under the deck on my Pachanga.
I ordered a bunch of mat, woven roving, and 1708. Is the bondo brand resin that you can buy at lowes ok to use?

Im not sure of the quality of that brand or the type of resin that it is but it's pretty expensive at lowes. Check this website for resin www.uscomposites.com

I have checked them....their prices are good but the hazmat shipping costs make it spendy to get it here. This is the stuff at lowes.... http://bondo.com/featured/bondo-fibe...sin-20122.html
It's 39 a gallon.

Im curious if it is polyester or vinlyester resin. If I had to guess, it would be polyester resin based. It should be ok to use as long as your not putting it on top of a epoxy surface. The person to ask who could give you a better answer would be glassdave on here. Send him a PM

Thanks for the input. It's an 88 boat so I guess it must be poly or vinyl. I just don't know how to tell. Hopefully glassdave will have some insight.

The mat your using is very nice to work with it. I like it so much I continue to take bits and pieces of it home every night. Not familiar with the resin however on my deck project I am just using Napa resin. Without any wax. It's old school resin however so is my restoration project.
