How often are power boats bought with no surveys? I am hearing many mixed opinions.
I am looking at a 2001 Baja Outlaw 29 that is in mint condition. The boat has 454 mags with 300 hours. (hours are getting verified by mere dealer through scan on Friday) Boat has been trailered its whole life and kept in an enclosed shed. The bilge is super clean along with the rest of the boat.
Should I take the risk buying the boat without a survey? I am more worried about the engines, although the seller says they've had all routine maintenance done.

It's usually money well spent, and will help you with insurance and finance; sometimes even required for one or both.
"I wasted my money on that survey" said no one ever.
Sometimes, quite the opposite.
