Analog Gauge Interface for new style digital trim limit switch
#1
Hopefully someone else has ran into this issue. Boat is a 2004 but engine was built 9/03. 496 MAG serial number OM683216. Smartcraft enabled engine but no Smartcraft gauges, all analog. Boat came from factory with digital trim limit switch on port side of gimbal and analog trim level switch on starboard side. Trim limit stopped working. Ordered new switch 8M0095310 which supercedes the original switch. New switch does both trim limit and trim level, eliminating the analog switch on the gimbal (comes with block off for gimbal ring). Problem is it requires a AGI (Analog Gauge Interface) so it can talk to the analog gauge and this was not included. It appears there are multiple options from Mercury. Does anyone know the correct part number for the AGI? Merc Tech Support is not answering the phone today. It is not an option to keep the old analog switch on the gimbal as the rubber plug on the new digital limit switch is a full plug, not half a plug like the old kits where the two harnesses have half of the plug on them.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just went through this with Merc last year. Part number 845060A1 is the old kit which is no longer sold. The new part is 884359T1 which is the same as the old part but does not have the screws and spacers. So if you buy 884359T1 you will get everything you need less the spacers. The spacers are just to give the converter module air space for cooling. The module is mounted on the transom bulkhead.
Here is my thread which is though other things is how I found out what was happening

Edit also found my best deal on whole kit at Great Lakes skipper, just google part numbers

Thanks for the link. Our senders are different in that I don't have the bell housing mount with the lever up to the gimbal ring. My sensor mounts on the gimbal ring. Hopefully this conversion module works for my application as well.
