Default Initial Testing Goes Well for New Pure Platinum 388 Skater

It appears that testing is going well on the new Pure Platinum 388 Skater, one radical ride.

Even though the photo we used in the story isn't the great—it's the only on-water shot we had—Pure Platinum looks simply amazing in the water.

There are nice running shots of it from the Florida Powerboat Club's Miami Boat Show Poker Run. I'm sure they'll be plenty of amazing ones by the end of the summer.

I talked to Bill on Friday, said the boat is really running well.

Since this is way over my head can anyone tell me did they have to do anything special with props or gear ratio? Seems like "normal" stuff just wont work. Kinda like Qatar at the shoot out, whats different on that set up to get it to almost 250 mph

Nothing to out of the ordinary. I'll let Bill chime in if he wishes, to tell props, gear ratio etc. but it's all about application. And I can tell you it's not to crazy. But let's just say that it's definatly trying to accommodate the power of the motors. Think big wheels. The M8s are the biggest difference.
