Just wanted to give a shout out to Chris @ Ocean performance.
During my trip up the north east coast this weekend I stopped at Ocean performance. with only talking to Chris a few times on the phone and back and forth a few times on here, I walked into his showroom ( him not having a idea who i was) i was greeted with a welcoming smile and a handshake. I introduced myself and right a way we got talking old school boats. It was geat to thumb through some of the old books of pics he had there. i was able to see pics of many members boats from when they were new. it was pretty cool.
after we looked at some pics he took me for a tour of the showroom and showed me all kinds of cigarette stuff vintage to new. He took me for a tour of the parts and service department. (if anyone needs something he probably has it) then we took a lap around the property showing me some incredible boats that were there. I learned a ton of old history of the sport from way back, got to hear some interesting stories about my boat lol and the old racing days, and got to see some cool old school boats which i am a huge fan of.
All in all i must say getting to finally meet Chris and see his operation was a awesome time and i wish i could of stayed longer. If anyone is ever driving up through Old Saybrook you gotta stop in and check it out.
Thanks again to Chris!!

I usually try to stop in Ocean Perf at least a couple times a month. Great group of people in there. Its great to talk to like minded people when it comes to offshore powerboating. There is ALWAYS something interesting going on there and lots of cool stuff to see.

Agreed this is the place for offshore boat fanatics. There is always some cool stuff to look at. I have been there a hundred times and Chris always comes out with something that I have not seen yet. Yesterday he had an original Cigarette brochure from the early 80's it was really cool!
