Power questions.. I have a 87 357 SR1 with TRS drives. I just got a pair of 502's I can install the motors two different ways .Here is the combination
Option one stock 502 with dual plain bowtie intakes holley 750 carbs and EMI manifolds
Option two stock 502 with dual plain bowtie intakes holley 750 carbs and EMI manifolds and upgraded cam no rockers non roller ...
My question is this I know the cam adds power .. is it really going to give that much power and or top speed ? No looking to win the race just looking to make the boat get onto plane easy
Thanks

I had a 454 420 in the exact same boat that went up to 485 hp with cam and intake change and honestly it did not plane any better maybe got 1/2 or 1 mph faster... maybe 2 ! not worth the change according to me!
