Default 496ho oil temp.

My gauges never go over 140 on my oil temp.. is there a better place to plumb it on the engine side from stock 496ho placement?

I would verify the temp with a scan. 140 does sound low. According to Smartcraft, my 525efi will go up to around 190, then the stat opens and it goes back down to 155ish.

I read on another post that stock placement of the sender doesn't give an accurate measurement of temp and it should be moved up around the filter housing?

Does anybody know of an inline AN fitting that has an oil temp sender in it?
