seaside nj race course

Default seaside nj race course

does anyone have a layout of the course I wanted to take the boat to see it. and was wondering , where to see it from

That would be a question for Dave P or Mark H... I called the OPA office last week and they havent received the coordinates as of that call

I could have had you right inside the course if you wanted to be a Photo Boat but that position was already filled several months ago....

My understanding is a long skinny triangle pointing north with the the northern most point just east of the Water's Edge Restaurant, run south down the middle of the bay, turn east towards Tice's Shoal, then run back north along Seaside park.

Sorry to those not in NJ - you won't get the local references.

Where is the best place to spectate from land? Wet pits? Dry pits?

Based on Tom's description of the course layout, the Water's Edge sounds like probably the best place to watch from land. There's also The Cove, which is maybe a mile away from the Water's Edge. I've never been to The Cove, so I have no idea what the place is like.

The Cove has a nice little beach area with tables. I'd bring some binoculars but that might be a good spot to watch from.
